Kohima, November 23 (MExN): The Khonoma Students’ Union (KSU), with its objective to maintain cleanliness in and around the village, conducted a voluntary cleanliness drive carried out in and around Khonoma village on November 22.
In an update received here, the union stated that the drive was carried out with the participation of around 50 volunteers, and added that the initiative helped thoroughly clean various parts of the village.
The union also reminded the public that Khonoma, being a Green Village, upholds a strict and uncompromising commitment to cleanliness. It has claimed that many visitors continue to disregard these practices despite repeated reminders and clearly displayed notice boards.
With the Hornbill festival and festive season approaching, the union encouraged everyone to respect and uphold the village’s cleanliness traditions.
