The 70th annual general conference of the Kigwema Students’ Union (KSU) was observed today under the theme “Innovate, Integrate, Motivate” at Village Council Hall, Kigwema.
Whezo Yhokha, Principal, Springfield School, Dimapur who was the speaker exhorted the students and leaders present to inculcate values into their education so as to impact themselves and society. To this he urged them to lead a life of integrity, with the quality of being honest, having strong moral principles.
“Person who leads with integrity are leading confidently and are inspiring people in the long run, vis-a-vis leaders mushrooming and leading people in fear, and with the dominance of power, money or force. That is going to impact both the individual and society,” he said.
Calling upon the conglomerate to align their visions with value, the speaker asserted “Education without value no value.” With too much competition for career and employment opportunities, he challenged the students to choose wisely, be smart and sincere. “Education is like a commodity in the market. You will not be picked unless you stand out,” he noted.
Adding that people today have become too conscious of how others judge and see us, yhokha also told them to be authentic- undisputed origin.
The programme was chaired by Medono Zhasa and Kuzolie Neihu delivered the presidential address. The annual debate was also held on the topic, “Influx of illegal immigrants in Nagaland.”
