Kiphire DPDB discuss developmental issues

Kiphire | October 13 : The monthly meeting of Kiphire District Planning & Development Board was held at Deputy Commissioner’s official chamber yesterday with chairman DPDB and parliamentary secretary CAWD T. Torechu, Kipili MLA and other district head of departments.
The chairman appreciated the officers for tirelessly working for the district. On various developmental issues like construction of drainage and metaling of road in the town, chairmen DPDB directed the concern department to submit the status of the work so that it is further recommended to the concern authorities for implementation. On land acquisition of the various departments in the district, the chairman directed the head of department to submit the detail list of departmental plot to the concern authorities so that things are sorted out. The chairman also assured to construct waiting shed and street light to cemetery road under BRGF.
Kipili MLA who also took part in land acquisition discussion said, “If needed we will call every one and discuss this issue so that it is solved once and for all.” Kihito L Chishi, EE (R&B) PWD delivering on status of the highway said that the department has submitted the detail report to the higher authorities, but so far there has been no development from authorities. He also said that office building is needed to be renovated at it is 47 years now and the life span is only 50 years and asked the DPDB to pressurize the government.  Dr Joyce who was also in the meeting said that there will be disable awareness in the latter part of October under the theme ‘celebrate diversity create awareness’ and asked the district administration to be a partner to it.
Earlier the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire Tridibesh Roy reviewed the meeting of the last DPDB and welcome Supongyanger EE PWD, Arenjenba DEO, Kihito L Chishi EE (R&B) PWD, and Nukshi Jamir Wild life warden to the house. The CMO also presented a power point presentation on HIV/AIDS status in the district.
