Kiphire DPDB resolves to seek CSR funds for schools

Kiphire, December 10 (MExN): The monthly Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall Kiphire on December 9 under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman DPDB & Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Sarita Yadav. The meeting welcomed new members, the DHO and SDEO, stated a DIPR report.


The DPDB Kiphire unanimously resolved to seek funding of CSR for Science and Math, 20 teachers on hire basis to help out in imparting knowledge to the students in minimum four schools at Kiphire.


 The Board approved education tablets distribution to the school and to construct toilets in the school through CSR. It is discussed and approved augmentation of science and Math labs in the school through CSR proposal. 


It is also approved the upgradation of Indoor Sports Complex in District headquarter and Pungro Sub division. Discussions on health were held where the Board resolved to propose for increase of Doctors at CHC Pungro also to enhance equipment in the District Hospital. 


The Board discussed change of name of Saramati Mountain School, Pungro. Regarding PHED Pipeline under Pungro Sub-Division the PHED Department clarified that they have submitted the proposal with the DPR to the higher authority for necessary action. The Board also resolved to pursue piggery project and implementation of Agri Marketing project under UNDP.


Superintendent of Police SP Kiphire Amit Nigam IPS highlighted on the upgradation of police station Pungro as Division police station, and Seyochung as Police Station. SP stated that this is necessity in order to provide better security to prevent Low & Order Situation in the District. 


Power Point presentations on the activities of the department were given by Sericulture Department, Medical Department, Mahila Shakti Kendra District Level Centre for Women. SDO (C) HQ Nyempo Walim also gave a power point presentation on the importance of mystical Mimi Tourism Village. The Board entrusted the Department of Employment and Fishery to present departmental activities in the next DPDB Meeting.
