Kiphire, August 31 (MExN): Due to high rise of drugs abuse in Kiphire district, the GBs, District administration, Police officers and all the ward chairman and organisations destroyed ganja in and around Kiphire town jurisdiction.
“The team, after thoroughly investigating the scenario and the environment, found that many teenagers are indulging in drugs and this has led to drugs abuse in the district,” stated a DIPR report.
The team resolved that if any individual or groups are found involving in dealing and selling of drugs, they will be expelled from Kiphire district for 10 years, and if any person is involved in using drugs and ganja, he/she will be taken for public procession along with all the members of the house. In order to stop these practices, on August 31, ganja which was collected from all the 11 Wards, was destroyed outside the GB's Court, Kiphire town.
