DIMAPUR, MARCH 23 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Kohima has directed all area administrative officers to immediately issue advisories to all village Councils on COVID-19 precautionary measures. The advisories include avoiding/restricting movement of public especially of those persons coming from outside; to avoid gathering of people; to immediately earmark/designate Council hall (preferably) or Village rest houses or other places as “quarantine zone”; to get in touch with the local health workers in-case of any exigencies and contact Kohima Helpline No. 8575563906/6909937493 ; to immediately corroborate and issue all other notification/guidelines etc by the State Government (till date) on COVID-19 to all village councils for strict compliance. The DC further informed that entry of public to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima will be restricted, except for cases, which require immediate attention of the office on request.
The DC while disallowing non essential travel informed that the interstate entry point at Khuzama is sealed except for movement of essential commodities, security forces, medical equipments and supplies.
