Kohima police issues traffic regulations

Kohima, November 24 (MExN): In view of 9th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly on November 25 and 26, the Kohima Police has issued traffic regulations will be enforced as part of the security arrangement. 

Only vehicles with the following car passes will be allowed entry to the Assembly Secretariat:

•    ‘X’ (Black letter with Green background) - For Legislators 
•    ‘Y’ (White letter with Blue background) - For AHoDs/HoDs 
•    ‘Assembly Logo’ (Red Background) - For Assembly Staff 
•    ‘LH’ (Blue letter with Yellow Background) - For Police Personnel and PS/PA 
•    ‘O’ (Black letter with White Background) - For IPR/Media and Other Department 
•    ‘ON ASSEMBLY DUTY’ (White letter with Blue background) – For Staff Bus/Pool  & Dak Vehicles 

No vehicle will be allowed to be parked by the roadside from 0600 hrs onwards during Assembly Sessions at the following routes; 
•    From BSNL Telephone Exchange till Classic Island
•    From Raj Bhavan till M.S Classic Island
•    From Classic Island to Assembly Secretariat via High School
•    From New CM Official Residence, Phezoucha to Assembly Secretariat

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply in Kohima town during Assembly Session, from 0600 hrs till the session is over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 0600 hrs (morning) during Assembly Session. 

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to be parked along ‘D’ Block road. 

“While anticipating positive co-operation from the public, the police will tow away the defaulting vehicles and the charges will be borne by the vehicles owners,” the Kohima Police stated.
