Rutsa Driving School, Kohima attains 10 year

Nagaland State capital, Kohima records not less than 100 new registrations of vehicles in a month under establishment of the Regional Transport Officer. Disclosing this during the 10th anniversary celebration of Rutsa Driving School, Kohima on August 27, the Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Kohima S Yaongsanlee Chang said that driving mobility has become so important today.

“There is no scope of road widening in the state capital Kohima and the number of vehicle keep increasing day by day,” he said and therefore, Chang stressed on the need to maintain road discipline and driving etiquette.

To ease traffic congestion in Kohima, the RTO suggested the vehicle users from the same locality or same office to adopt ‘car pooling system’ on rotation basic. RTO also encouraged the public to avail city bus service to minimize the volume of vehicular movement. Further, he asked the four wheeler users to always use seat belt and two wheelers to use helmet for safety.

Earlier, Khriesaneisa Rutsa, proprietor, Rutsa Driving School highlighted the background of the school. The function was chaired by Khrietuo Pienyü.

So far, this driving school has trained around 6,100 persons since its establishment in 2011.
