Kohima Excise personnel, the accused and the heroin seized on June 27.
Kohima, June 28 (MExN): Kohima Excise manning Khuzama Inter-State check gate seized 570 grams of suspected heroin, worth Rs 1.7 crore at street value on June 27.
Vithoselie Terhuja, Assistant Commissioner of Excise, Kohima in a press release stated that acting on a tip off Excise duty party intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. Nl07A-7955 and on searching the vehicle recovered 57 soap cases containing suspected heroin from the cabin of the truck.
In this connection, two persons namely Rohit Rai and Ranjit Rai, the driver and handyman of the vehicle were arrested and a case has been registered U/s 21 (C) & 60 of NDPS Act 85’.
