The Kohima Tsiiswiizu Students’ Union (KTSU) today celebrated its silver jubilee under the theme “Bridging Generation” at the State Academy Hall, Kohima.
Gracing the celebration at the special guest, Ex-MLA Niizota Swiiro, chairman Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA), told the students to stay tuned with the technological and scientific advancements in the modern society.

He maintained that the world over registered tremendous progress through technological advancement.
Also talking on the dynamics of change in socio-economic and political structure around the world, he called upon the students to adopt positive strategy to cope with a competitive world.
Swiiro also told the students to uphold and retrieve the ethical conduct of the forefathers, like; loyalty, affection, hardworking and trustworthiness.
He subscribed elderly blessings and wisdom as imperative to accomplish one desired goal.
Further, Swiiro told the students to change their mindset and strive to become an asset to the society. Azinu Swiiro, Principal GHSS, Phezhu Jotsoma shared greetings while Mulunuyi Nyekha delivered short speech.
KTSU first president Pokhotso Nyekha shared the brief history of KTSU while KTSU President, Zhokhahi Sasii delivered welcome address.

The programme was chaired by Nezelii Nyekha, executive director Chakhesang Women Welfare Society.
Vezhosa Ringa, Associate Professor, Kohima College Kohima released KTSU silver jubilee souvenir. Acknowledgement was led by KTSU General Secretary, Chekroniilii Khesoh while vote of thanks was proposed by KTSU vice president Er Vethito Nyekha.
Later, Dr Niivotso Khesoh, Sr Specialist State Mental Health Institute Kohima exhorted the students in the second session. Er Vezovoyi Nienu, SDO (NPWD) and Er Vethivolii Nyekha, SDO (NPWD) also shared success stories. Chakhesang Students Union President, Avezo Kevin Kapu also graced the celebration.
