KSUK’s 31st general session held

Kohima | September 24 : The Kikrüma Students’ Union Kohima today held its 31st general session cum fresher’s social meet 2011 at Mt. Sinai Higher Secondary School, Kohima under the theme “Towards broader perspective.”
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Lhoutsolo Koza, PS to deputy chairman, State Planning Board challenged the students to have a broader perspective in their life so as to face the various challenges ahead.
Maintaining that each individual has potential to secure a progressive life, he encouraged the students to know how to explore their talents and skills and work hard to achieve their desired goal.
Also urging them to change their mindset, he challenged the students to dream big and believe in themselves.
Stating that there is no shortcut to success, he asserted that it is only through hard work one will make the thing happen and become a winner in their journey of struggle.
Referring to unemployment problem in the state, he regretted that many youth still assume that the government job is the only job. He asked the students to erase such mentality, adding that there are a lot of opportunities and avenues one can venture out.
Everyone cannot be accommodated in the government service, he said and encouraged the students to equip themselves in the different fields, which, he said would enable them to secure job in the private sectors.
He also told the students that time management is the most important factor to achieve the desired goal. Towards this, Koza encouraged the students to make the best use of time and also asked them to frame a proper plan for study.
Koza also asked the students not to go to college just for the sake of attending the college, saying that such approach will never going to help them in fulfilling their dreams.
“Your struggle will decide your future,” he told the students.
Earlier, Nusato Kezo delivered presidential address. Mutsilü Kezo and Nungosa Puro spoke on behalf of freshers and senior respectively.
The programme also witnessed exhortation by Krosanyo Puro, statistical report by Nukutho Tunyi and vote of thanks by Veneyo Thira.
Declaration of new office bearers of KSUK for the tenure 2011-13 was made by Dzuleno Yhobü.
