•-Allegations of mis-utilization of developmental funds under wokha district had been in the air from all quarters on fund diversion, issuing under table work orders and thereof payment without executing the actual works, percentage cuts by VIPS and various unauthorized agencies had been on the rampant increase, as no other competent authority had monitored or initiated concrete steps to avert this corrupt practice.
Amidst this confused brouhaha, the recent vigil undertaken by the Wokha Town Command & CAO, NSCN/GPRN (IM) in cross-checking the various Developmental works in the District is a welcome sign for positive development. I am sure this is bound to deliver the developmental works to the grassroots level without any hick-ups, as earlier days.
Infact, in this course of cross-checking the corrupt practice, it is bound to invite negative criticism from those who had been enjoying the seeds of easy money in connivance with the higher authorities and VIPs for quite some time. However, one should not get hoodwink by those false propagandas and instead physically see for themselves the true pictures from the concern developmental departments to substantiate one’s doubt, if arise or use the RTI Act to dig out the truth.
I am sure the constructive step undertaken by the NSCN/GPRN (IM) under the Dynamic Town Commander & CAO is a boon to the rural masses that are less fortunate like me. I wish them the best in cleaning up the messes we are in, today. It is my earnest pledge to one and all concern Kyong citizens to co-operate in sweeping out the corrupt practices by supporting their mission for a brighter and prosperous future of our younger generation. It is high time; we call a spade a spade without any biasness. I hope the civil societies would step in and do their home works before the rural masses question their credibility of holding the Vanguard Post of our community.
