KVC on developmental projects in Kohima

Kohima, September 12 (MExN): The Kohima Village Council (KVC) on Sunday extended its sincere appreciation to the present government and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, under whose leadership and initiative, many developmental projects were initiated in the capital city Kohima.

It made special mention on the construction of various roads around Kohima, the construction of the two-lane bridge over Sanuoru River, linking Kohima town with Nagaland Civil Secretariat at New Capital Complex, Phezou and accelerating of the Kohima Smart City project etc, which is nearing completion.

“We, the Kohima Village Council convey our commitment and welcome any kind of developmental work in the capital, Kohima, as, most areas of Kohima town fall within our ancestral land,” stated KVC in a release received here today.

On the ongoing roads, expansion of National Highway-150 and proposed Kohima bypass roads within its jurisdiction, KVC extended its full support to chief minister and the state government as a stakeholder for smooth execution of the developmental activities. 

Meanwhile, the Council appealed every individual or organization to give earnest support to the government in the execution of all the developmental activities.

The Council informed that it shall not tolerate anyone who deters or be obstructs any developmental projects, or hinder the progress of any governmental activity within its jurisdiction.
