KYGK appeals NPGs not to give shelter to Aug 16 killing accused

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): The Külolau Yemishe Ghami Kuqhakulu (KYGK), Dimapur issued another press release on September 7 in connection to the August 16 killing of Major Toishe Yeptho in Purana Bazaar, Dimapur.

The release issued by KYGK President, Vihoshe Awomi and General Secretary Ayeho Z Ayemi stated that the people involved in the killing “must not be given any kind of impunity” by any of the Naga Political Groups or allowed to “take shelter” in any NPG camp that would impede the investigation agency from doing its job.

While stating that it does not know the names of the persons involved in the killing, the KYGK wished for speedy investigation and that “the investigating agency will disclose the name of all the assassins in due course of time.”

Responding to a press statement issued by Khekato Kinny, Defence Kilonser & UT1 Superviser of the NSCN (R) on September 2 in which he refuted allegation of his involvement in the killing, the KYGK said that if Kinimi “is innocent as claimed by him,” he should present himself before the investigating authority, “prove his innocence, stand up for his rights” and defend the charges leveled against him.
