Citizens availaing free health check-up conducted by LBDC as part of the outreach mission minsitry held at Yamhon area on October 19.
Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): Extending its outreach mission ministry to a wider horizon, Lotha Baptist Church Diphupar-A (LBCD) conducted medical camp at Yamhon area with Liphi village as the centre (around 50 km from Dimapur) on October 19.
More than 100 patients from 8 villages – Liphi, Richeyan, Ronsuyan, Hayiyan, Lio-Wokha, Longjung, Sungkha, and Supayan availed the facility during the camp and were given medicines free of cost, according to their ailments.
The doctors also examined patients with poor vision and gave them medically prescribed fitted spectacles free of cost.
Richumvu, 110 years old and the oldest person in Liphi village who could not attend owing to old age was given treatment at her doorstep by the doctors.
Dr Wopen Tsopoe, Dr Thungchanpeni Patton, Nurses Lisenbeni Patton and Chichanpeni Tsanglae conducted the camp.
Pastor, LBCD, Limhathung Lotha opined that besides spiritual feeding, “physical fitness is a very important area to be focused by the churches,” to help people who cannot afford to avail medical help, so that they become strong spiritually.
With this aim, LBCD planned for the outreach work through medical camp ministry. The doctors were accompanied by LBCD Pastor, Associate Pastor, Deacons, stewards and members from the women department.
