LKM anticipating positive transformation via truthful voting and women’s participation

MOKOKCHUNG, MAY 24 (MExN): The Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) has called for prioritising truthful voting for upholding integrity and transparency in the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections. “Let's come together as a community to ensure that our voices are heard through fair and honest voting practices,” appealed the LKM in a press release on May 24.

For ensuring that the collective aspirations are represented, it called upon all the councils, youths, students and the civil society organisations to actively engage in the electoral process. It asserted that by collectively committing to Clean Election, “We can make a meaningful impact and strive towards a more inclusive and prosperous future.”

Acknowledging the participation of the first women candidates in the ULB elections, it said that women’s participation in the process will bring about significant and positive transformations.
