Lohe clarifies & apologises for inadvertent error

Dimapur, March 12 (MExN): Z Lohe, former NLA Speaker today issued a clarification stating that he had inadvertently taken the name of Late Yangmaso Shaiza, former Chief Minister of Manipur, during his speech made during a peace rally on Naga political solution in Dimapur on March 9.

Lohe stated that instead of Late Rishang Keishing, former Chief Minister of Manipur, he had quoted Late Shaiza.

“In fact, I have no intention to distort this piece of Naga history. What Soso Shaiza, daughter-in-law of Late Yangmaso Shaiza has expressed of being hurt is understood. I am sorry for the error,” the statement read.

He further clarified that during his brief address to the public gathering “for the purpose of demanding early political solution from GOI out of the ongoing political negotiations under the platform of NGBF…I expressed my dissatisfaction with the lack of reciprocity from the Nagas of Manipur in particular.”

During the speech, he expressed disapproval with the Nagas from Manipur, especially the MLAs who do not assert for the Naga integration in their own land and raising the integration issue on the floor of Manipur Assembly.

This is “nothing but double talk,” Lohe held in the statement. As such, it was disheartening that a “Naga Chief Minister of Manipur asserted that not even an inch of the Manipur territory will be budged for the Naga integration,” he added.
