Longleng, December 10 (MExN): The Longleng District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, M Shayung Phom on December 6 at DC’s conference hall.
A DIPR report stated that the DC welcomed the members present and informed the members about sudden dismissed of Dr Wannau Phom, Medical Officer, Longleng on December 4 in Delhi.
After the report of the sub-committee the house finally decided to recommend the proposal submitted by the PPC for upgradation of GMS Tamlu to GHS and EAC Yongnyah to SDO (Civil), Creation of RD Block and CDPO office at Yongnyah.
Besides the house also had a lengthy deliberation for regular NST bus service from Longleng to Kohima & Dimapur and establishment of Detoxification centre at district hospital was raised by the CDPO and CMO, Longleng respectively. Upgradation of present Post office, Longleng to Post Master status and proper traffic management of Longleng town was also discussed during the meeting.
The DC in his concluding remark informed the members about the ongoing renovation of the DC’s Office and the Advent Christmas Program of the Deputy Commissioner’s staff to be held on December 17 at DC office complex.
