Lotha Hoho convenes general public meet on Indo-Naga political talks

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 30 (MExN): The Lotha Hoho today conducted a general meeting at the Local Ground, Wokha with a view to collectively deliberate on the current Indo-Naga political talks.
According to a press release issued by Lotha Hoho media joint secretary, Abenthung Kikon, representatives from Dimapur Lotha Hoho, Kohima Lotha Hoho and various individuals spoke on the occasion where they collectively urged all the Naga political groups to come together in a peaceful manner as Nagas has already suffered for long.
At the meeting, the Lotha general public adopted a three point resolution addressed to all the Naga political negotiators and the Government of India.
The meeting resolved to stand by the decision/resolution of the 14 Naga tribes of Nagaland that was adopted on October 22, 2019 at Kohima. The resolution stated that the Lotha tribe does not object to the Framework Agreement between the Government of India and the NSCN (IM) and also on the agreed points between the GoI and the Working Committee of the NNPGs. Further the Lotha tribe has requested the GoI and the negotiating parties to come to a peaceful solution at an early date.
The meeting also resolved that if any untoward incident occurs on any Lotha Hoho member or Lotha individual, in connection with the Naga political solution, the Lotha general public, through Lotha Hoho, will initiate appropriate action against the individual/group responsible. The family members of any individual involved in any untoward incident will also be held accountable.
The Lotha general public further resolved that Lotha area will not be used as a battleground/killing field for any individual/groups. Any individual/groups going against the wishes will face the action of the Lotha general public.
Earlier, the Framework Agreement was delivered by Rev Dr. Tsanso President LBCA, while Thungjamo Erui, advisor Lotha Hoho delivered the preamble or Naga constitution (yezabo) of “new Naga” to the general public.
