Dimapur, August 11 (MExN): The Lotha Welfare Forum Delhi (LWFD) organized a virtual felicitation programme on August 9 for Richard Yanthan for his achievement in the UPSC examination 2020. 

LWFD in a press release stated that the event was conducted virtually which started with a prayer by Pastor Chenithung Ezung. Dr Benrithung Murry, Chairman, LWFD gave the welcome address. A prayer of blessing upon Richard Yanthan was pronounced by Chumbemo Khuvung, Chairman of Delhi Lotha Christian Fellowship. 

Nzanthung Odyuo in person presented tokens of appreciation to Richard Yanthan on behalf of the virtually gathered participants.  Dr Zuchamo Yanthan, while congratulating Richard Yanthan stated that he is now a role model to thousands of civil service aspirants in the state. “The state of Nagaland, which is presently going through challenging times urgently needs young men and women having high integrity, knowledge and selfless spirit with accountability and fear of God,” Yanthan stated. 

Mhonthung Ngullie, Regional Commissioner in Ministry of Labour & Employment in his exhortation encouraged Richard to break away from status-quo and seek God’s wisdom so that his life would be impactful to the Naga society.

Lothungbeni P Lotha spoke on behalf of the Lotha Students’ Union Delhi. 

Meanwhile, Richard Yanthan thanked the Lotha Naga community of Delhi and shared the experiences of his UPSC preparation. He also encouraged the youngsters to keep working hard and have faith in God. 

Emilo Ngullie, the host of the event proposed the vote of thanks and Evangeline Odyuo Koireng closed the function with a prayer.
