LWO dismayed with NPP and BJP

Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): The Lotha Welfare Okho (LWO) has expressed disappointment over what it termed as the National People’s Party, Nagaland state unit, distancing from its former Lok Sabha candidate Hayithung Bill Lotha. According to the LWO, Lotha had expressed contempt for alleged derogatory remarks made by the Deputy Chief Minister on the people of Ralan area, Wokha during the 51st Conference of the Lotha Students’ Union.

Terming Lotha’s stand as “bold and resolute,” the LWO, in a press release, questioned the action of the NPP and accused the latter of lacking “political ethics in public life.”  It further asked the NPP to learn the meaning of “liberal democratic values.”

In the same press release, it also expressed shock and dismay over alleged remarks made by the BJP on “the private and personal matters” of a former student leader, Vicca S Aye. While terming the BJP’s action as childish, it asked the BJP to respect its “own world-wide high status” as a political party rather than indulge “in street-level gossips.”
