Manchester United fans in Nagaland came together to organize an online ‘Thank You Placard’ project for health workers and security personnel working at the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project was initiated by Manchester United Supporters Club Nagaland (N-MUSC) and included fans from all over the state.

The project was taken up in the club’s official WhatsApp group and the photo was shared on the group’s official Instagram and Facebook accounts on April 21.

“We are at the comfort of homes, but out there our health workers, administration and police personnel etc are all working to keep us safe. So as a sign of acknowledgement, appreciation to them, we decided to do this poster/placard project online,” Avika Awomi, N-MUSC General Secretary said.

“We wanted to include everyone but due to lack of space, the entry limit was set to 20 photos. We received a lot of entries but we managed to select only 23 photos for the collage,” N-MUSC president Oika Chishi told The Morung Express. He also shared NMUSC’s message that during this crisis, the best way to help the superheroes at the frontline is to stay at home and keep ourselves safe.
