Mangmetong ‘A’ Khel and Okotso villages affirm friendship

Mokokchung, November 5 (MExN): The decade old practice of joint meeting-cum-fellowship between Mangmetong village ‘A’ Khel, under Mokokchung district and Okotso village under Wokha district was held at the Mangmetong village ‘A’ Khel Putu Menden Hall on October 29.
The get-together takes place in a span of every three years.
The meeting resolved to strengthen the age old friendship and uphold the legacy left behind by the far sighted ancestors, “a gift of the past to the future and the inheritance of the present.”
It was decided that one day joint social work for improving the Mangmetong-Okotso village portion of Alijen to Doyang (DHEP) PWD road will be held on November 15.
The Okotso village team led by the Chairman, Okotso village Council & members included Chumben Ngullie, Associate Pastor, Okotso Baptist Church and TL Merry, General Secretary, NDPP. The meeting began with a prayer by Ngullie, Associate Pastor and concluded with mass prayer and feast.
