As part of observance of the “Janata (Public) Curfew” announced by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, a one minute siren would be played at 5 pm on Sunday from GM Hall, Imphal, according to an official report.
J. Suresh Babu, Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur has fervently appealed the general public of Imphal in particular to get themselves ready two minutes ahead of 5 pm at the balcony and porch of their respective residences and clap loudly in appreciation and mark of gratitude to the doctors, nurses, paramedics and others who are rendering great services for prevention of pandemic caused by corona virus in Manipur, the report added.
