Mass social work across Kohima dist on Nov 30

Kohima, November 28 (MExN): In view of the Statehood Day Celebration and the beginning of the Hornbill Festival on December 1, Kohima Deputy Commissioner Gregory Thejawelie has informed that a mass social work will be conducted on November 30 from 6:00 am across Kohima district with the participation of state government employees, the wards, colonies, village functionaries and the general public. 

A circular from the DC also stated that all wards, colonies, and villages under Kohima district should ensure that their respective areas are free from any kind of waste, rubble, muck, foliage overgrowth, etc, according to the state DIPR. 

The general public is also informed herein to remove any kind or construction material, debris, waste,  off-road vehicles along the road immediately. Failure to do so by the respective owners shall result in removal of all such materials/vehicles at the expense of the owner, it said.

All Government buildings in Kohima district are to put up decorative lights November 30 and the general public, churches and business establishments have also been requested to ensure beautification and putting up of decorative lights by November 30, it added.
