Dimapur, April 8 (MExN): The Muslim Council Dimapur (MCD) has filed a FIR against one person for a “false propaganda” against the council and allegedly “trying to tarnish its image.”
The first information report (FIR) filed by the MCD Working President, A Rahman with the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Dimapur, named one ‘Cedee Lama’ who posted on a popular Facebook group allegedly stating that the council is purportedly harbouring “illegal immigrants” from Bangladesh.
In the FIR, the MCD further noted that it is a registered organisation ‘working hard with the administration and police for the welfare of the district as well as the state.’
“At this time of pandemic crisis, the said person is spreading the message of hatred against the MCD and the Muslim Community to created differences among the denizens of Dimapur,” it maintained.
In this connection, the MCD in the FIR, requested the ACP to register a case and book the person under relevant provision of the law.
