Saptiqa, October 31 (MExN): In commemoration of the 75th year of Saptiqa town existence, a meeting hall cum guest house was inaugurated by Joseph Hesso Kinnimi IPS, DIG, PHQ and dedicated by Rev Hutoli P Achumi, Promoter Nito Theological College at Saptiqa Town on October 28.
A press release received here stated that Joseph Hesso Kinnimi, IPS, DIG PHQ in his address said constructing the guest house was a big achievement and ‘they should plan bigger things even in the days to come.’
Hesso encouraged the gathering to emphasize on education as it opens the door for anything. He said, “education is power which can open doors to many opportunities and added that good was not good enough and they have to be very good and excel in our own field and that they have to walk an extra mile otherwise they will remain an average person.”
“Even if one has wisdom, without education one cannot compete with the rest,” he added.
Hesso also urged the citizens of Saptiqa area to focus on plantation and called on the people to make Saptiqa “green.”
Hukavi A Zhimomi Advocate, Co-Convenor Construction Committee, reading out the report said that the building was completed in 30 lakh with the contributions received from well wishers of Saptiqa Area and the land was donated by Late Zhevishe A Awomi's family.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Sukhali Achumi member Program Committee and Tohokhu T Sema Convenor programme committee, opening song presented by Saptiqa Town while greetings said by Er Kahuli Sema, Er In Chief and Convenor Construction Committee, Sukhayi Shohe, President Saptiqa Area Public Organization and Vitolu Chophi, President Saptiqa Area GB’s Union, vote of thanks proposed by N Kuputo Achumi Chairman Planning Board and concluded with benediction said by Yezaka T Zhimo, Chairman CLF, Saptiqa Area.
The Saptiqa town platinum jubilee celebration is scheduled on January 6 and 7, 2023 under the theme ‘Aiming higher with past glory.’
