Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): A meeting on the District Business Reform Action Plan (DBRAP) was held at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Dimapur, on February 27. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, NCS.
The meeting discussed the modalities and implementation framework of the District Business Reform Action Plan aimed at improving ease of doing business at the district level. Heads of various line departments attended the meeting.
Yawelie Noudi, Deputy Director, Department of Industries and Commerce, gave an overview of the Reform Action Plan. He highlighted the objectives of the Business Reform Action Plan initiated by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade and explained that the District BRAP is envisioned as a state-driven exercise to strengthen business-related approvals and services at the district level.
A PowerPoint presentation detailed the components of the District BRAP and State BRAP, including time-bound inspection systems, digitisation and mutation of property, district-level investment facilitation and promotion of startup growth in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. It also outlined the number of reforms under DBRAP and SBRAP, along with reporting templates and roles and responsibilities of district and state authorities.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised timely processing of approvals, licences and No Objection Certificates and called for coordinated efforts among departments to ensure smooth implementation. He urged departments to ensure accountability to enhance transparency and create a business-friendly environment.
The meeting concluded with discussions on reporting mechanisms, timelines and integration of district-level approvals into the state dashboard for monitoring.
