Two more Border Security Force (BSF) jawans tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya, taking the total tally to 50.
Earlier, on Saturday one of the personnel was also tested positive for the virus.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Alexander Laloo Hek said that one of the infected jawans had returned to the State from Haryana on June 26 and another is a driver, who was engaged in transporting troopers from Assam to BSF Meghalaya Frontier Headquarters in Shillong had also been infected.
With these new two fresh positive cases, Meghalaya has recorded 7 active cases, 42 recovered and one case of death.
