Participants during the 34th session of the MHSU Sports Meet cum Literary Week which was held from January 6 to 11 at Kenchenshu Village, Mon District.
Mon, January 11 (MExN): The 34th session of the Mopong Hongkong Students's Union (MHSU) Sports Meet cum Literary Week was held from January 6 to 11 at Kenchenshu Village.
Held under the theme “Educational values and socialism," the session was grace by Toshi Wangtung, advisor VG, IPR and SCERT Nagaland Kohima on January 7.
W Moba, BDO Tobu Block graced the valedictory programme on January 11 as guest of honor. A press release issued by L Kholee president, MHSU appreciated the special guests of various events for their solidarity towards the students’ community.
Besides Sports and literary events, Mister & Miss MHSU (1st edition) was also held on January 8, where, Awan Konyak, Chairperson, Nagaland State Commission for Protection of Child Rights was the special guest.
Out of 14 contestants, Chikoi from Ukha Students' Union and Monyu W from Yakshu Students' Union were adjudged Mister and Miss MHSU respectively.
In Sports, Yei Students' Union emerged the champion in men football while Mopong Town Students' Union won the permanent runner-up for winning 3 consecutive years. Yakshu Students' Union emerged the overall champion.
