MITE Kohima celebrates 10th Graduation Day

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima celebrated its 10th Graduation Day on October 19 with Thavaseelan K, IAS, Principal Director, School of Education as the special guest. 

A press release received here stated that Thavaseelan in his speech said that effective transactions in teaching learning process and pedagogical reforms are very much needed in school education. He said that ‘psychological knowledge is very important to change the behaviour of students. The school education ecosystem is a very important aspect to develop our society.’ He encouraged the graduates and the student-teachers to keep the motivation, to empathize and to be the change, keeping the Alma mater in mind alive and work together to make the world a better place.

Delivering the welcome address, Dr Kate Dandesh Kumar, Principal exhorted the student-teachers whatever you want to do in life, please go ahead and do what you love. Do it with a crazy amount of passion. He highlighted the MITE achievement of being the State topper in producing the highest pass percentage from the B.Ed 2020-22 batch with 13 university top rank-holders and various distinction holders.

Vepeni K Zhimo, Nagaland University 1st Rank holder, in her valedictory speech encouraged everyone to look forward to dream and a new dream and to be sincere in every walks of life. The special guest awarded the degree certificates to the student-teachers. The ended with vote of thanks by Mhashienu Lothii, Vice President, MITESU and benediction by Pukumla Jamir.
