MOKOKCHUNG, MARCH 28 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir has today issued an order prohibiting individuals, groups of individuals and NGOs other than government authorized agencies to erect any kind of check gates or man them. “They are also not allowed to resort to any kind of surprise vehicular checking, resort to any vehicular blockade at the national and state highways passing through Mokokchung district,” an order from the DC stated. It further prohibited “non- government authorized agencies” from “any other activity which disrupts delivery of essential goods and services throughout Nagaland and other states in India.” The DC warned that any person or group acting in violation of this order shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
