Phek, December 7 (MExN): The National Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) Phek team has been providing free health care services and health awareness talks to hundreds of people every month during its monthly touring program.
The team particularly reach out to people living in remote and hard to reach areas and provides different service packages such as Ante-Natal Check-up (ANC) family planning services, lap-test for blood sugar,pregnancy test,collect blood smears for malaria and collect sputum for TB etc.
The team during the month of OCT and Nov 2019 have examined a total of 734 patients out of which 80 Ante-Natal Cases (ANC) were seen,26 blood smears for malaria were collected and 59 lap test for blood sugar were done.
The team had also delivered health talks on the importance of breastfeeding and its technique,NCD home management of diarrhoea.
The team has visited 20 villages during its monthly touring and total of 65 patients were referred to higher facilities.
