Mokokchung, May 14 (MExN): A meeting on the “100 Days Ayushman Student Coverage Mission: Registration and Card Generation Camp” was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall in Mokokchung on May 14 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Implementation Unit (DIU) for PM-JAY/CMHIS, Ajit Kumar Verma.
The programme was conducted by Takotemjen Longkumer, LDA/CA-cum-BIS NHPS.
According to an update, the meeting was attended by the Chief Medical Officer, Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Nodal Officer for PM-JAY/CMHIS, District Education Officer (DEO), representatives from 31 schools and five colleges, representatives of the All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Mokokchung Unit, officials from the district administration, and other concerned officers and staff.
During the meeting, District Programme Coordinator (DPC) NHPS Tekamongla Walling presented an overview and implementation plan of the mission.
Discussions focused on assessing the strength of students in schools and colleges, identifying uncovered or left-out students, and preparing schedules for visits to educational institutions for Ayushman card generation.
Verma stressed the need for close coordination among departments and educational institutions to ensure successful implementation of the mission within the stipulated timeline.
He also urged all stakeholders to extend full cooperation to achieve maximum student coverage under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) in the district. The meeting concluded with active participation and suggestions from the attendees, officials added.
