Mon dist trying to adopt precautionary measures

Mon, March 20 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS in an appeal issued on March 20 has informed the citizens of Mon District that District Task Force in co-ordination with higher authorities are trying to adopt precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. 

 


The DC has appealed to for co-operation and co-ordination between the citizens, civil societies and the government functionaries for the safety of all. 

 

 

The public has been requested to follow the following directives: 


•    To refrain from believing or spreading false information circulated via social media or through unofficial sources.

 


•    To refrain from panic buying of commodities as there is enough stock of essential commodities within the District.

 


•    To practice hand and respiratory hygiene at all times at home, at work place and all public places.

 


•    To avoid large gathering and crowded places.

 


•    Anybody with signs and symptoms (cough, fever or difficulty in breathing) may contact the District Control Room headed by Dr. Limatula Aier, DSO/DVBO, Mon at 9863014033/9862078993/7005687775.

 


Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS in an order issued on March 20 stated that, the District Task Force for COVID-19 Mon, the following directives as precautionary measures against the COVID-19 outbreak:

 


•    All the passengers travelling from outside the state into the district will be issued a Self Declaration Form at the Check Gates at Tizit and Naganimora. Therefore, all the passengers are requested to extend full co-operation towards the exercise for the safety of all.

 


•    The District Task Force for COVID-19 Mon declares the Health Centres (Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the district as District COVID-19 Monitoring Centres.

 


•    All persons, students as well as public returning from effected areas and entering the district have to mandatory fill the self Declaration Form and report to the nearest District COVID-19 Monitoring Centre.

 


•    The public are also advised not to panic during the exercise.
