Mon DLSA observes World AIDS Day

Mon, December 3 (MExN): Mon DLSA observed World AIDS Day in collaboration with Shansham Org, Mon User Network & DAPCU at Dist Jail Mon on the theme ‘Communities make a difference.’ Yeangwei K, Jail Chaplain invoked God's presence.

Thavaseelan K (IAS) DC, Mon guest speaker of the event spoke on three major things: Awareness, Prevention & Response. He also said that the Nagaland State which is one of the smallest state in the country is ranking in 3rd position with HIV positive people.

Longyim, DPO who spoke on the theme urged not only to celebrate along with the world but to plead not for today but for life time. He highlighted the four purposes of the event: Honoring the lost souls, sharing the grief with the victims, social mobilization and to produce more messengers to spread the awareness. Lijao elaborated on HIV & AIDS.

Chingmei, President MTSU said that we must be free from the present conservative society for the betterment of the society.
