Mon, February 7 (MExN): Mon DLSA held its quarterly Under Trial Review Committee (UTRC) meeting on February 7 at District Jail Conference Hall.
Seyeleinuo Mehzü, CJM cum Secretary DLSA, Mon upon the receipt of raw data from the jail authority cross checked all cases and segregated the case of UTPs and placed before the committee.
No convicts were released in pursuance of the recommendation of the UTRC, which does not recommend the UTPs eligible to be released on bail. The committee further discussed for requirement of one pharmacist or nurse for patients inside the jail.
The committee also visited the jail compound, bedroom and kitchen. Around 67 UTPs and 26 convicts were reported in the jail. Seyeleinuo Mezhü Secretary DLSA, Imnalensa (IPS) SP Mon, Thavaseelan K (IAS) DC Mon, Thungdemo Asst Jail and M Moba Retainer Lawyer attended the meeting.
