Kohima, November 29 (MExN): Students from Mon district won the state level online quiz competition for class 8 students of government schools that was organised by the Samagra Shiksha Nagaland state mission office on November 29.
The second prize went to students from Mokokchung while the third prize was bagged by Wokha students. (See Table)
Held between 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Smamagra Shiksha Office on Monday, Joint Mission Director Dr Chumbeni Kikon gave the introductory remarks while Joint Mission Director Dr Bijano Murry took on the role of quiz master.
According to a press release, the quiz competition was conducted under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan which was launched in 2015 by former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The mission was to ensure that every child from 6 to18 years of age is keen towards learning science, mathematics and technology. Each district was represented by two participants and altogether, 22 students participated in the quiz. The panel of judges were Rosemary Ezung, State Coordinator and Neimenuo Kengurusie, State Coordinator, . Liyalo Apon, Deputy Mission Director gave the concluding remark.
