Noklak, November 19 (MExN): A book titled ‘Book of Emotions: Declare’ authored by Mongshai Khiamniungan was officially released by Noklak Deputy Commissioner Hiazu Meru on November 18. The book was published at Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur.
Speaking on the occasion, Meru noted how the world is now dominated by technology and social media, and conversations are becoming vague and limited with the use of “emojis and stickers.” He also stressed on the importance of gathering ideas in the form of writing. Congratulating the author on her new book, he underscored, “we are celebrating the originality which has become a rare commodity in today’s world.”
In a patron’s note by Songmao M, Women Welfare Officer, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, the officer emphasised how women in the present generation should consider themselves second to none because everything is possible through dedication, hard work and determination, stated a press release received on Friday.
Mongshai Khiamniungan stated that this book mainly focuses on the art of spoken word poetry. This is the fourth book written by the author which “channels the emotions of a soul that has been through the smooth and rough tides of life.”
Mongshai Khiamniungan graduated with Masters in English from Dimapur. Her previous books include Book of Emotions (2009), Book of Emotions: Expressions (2012), and Book of Emotions: Unstained (2017).
Newkhai, President, Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam delivered a short speech and the event was moderated by Tangsoi Mono, the release stated.
