Mopungchuket, March 23 (MExN): In pursuance of the public advisories issued by the government of Nagaland and the district administration of Mokokchung to prevent possible outbreak of the global pandemic COVID-19 in the region, Mopungchuket Village Council has informed to all concerned that “all tourist spots in the village shall remain closed and entry of tourists and visitors to the village has been banned.” A press release issued by Lipoktemsu Jamir, Chairman, Mopungchuket Village Council added that “travelers, especially of neighbouring villages, travelling via Mopungchuket village are not allowed to halt within the village jurisdiction.” Also any individual entering the village should inform the village council and it is mandatory that they undergo thermal scanning at the village Health and Wellness Center. “This notification comes into effect immediately and shall remain in force until further notice.  Anybody found violating this notification shall attract heavy penalty,” the council chairman added.
