Dimapur, June 14 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) today informed of ‘backdoor appointments,’ this time in the state’s department of Power, where 10 posts were filled allegedly without advertizing them or holding proper interviews. A letter addressed to the Minister for Power from the NSF today gave the government 15 days to immediately cancel the appointments or face ‘any action’ the organization may take.
The NSF wrote to the minister ruing illegal appointments in the Power department since 2009. The federation listed 10 posts that the department allegedly filled ‘without advertisement and proper interview.’ The posts are 1 post of SO (E) grade-II, 5 posts of JE (E), 1 post of JE (M) and 3 posts of SDO (E) class-I (Gazetted).
Assuring all resistance to the curse of backdoor and ‘incompetent appointments,’ the NSF said the authorities must immediately cancel the stated appointments as justice to deserving and qualified students.
“Failing to comply with the genuine demand of NSF within 15 days from the date of issue of this representation, the federation should not be misconstrued or held responsible for any action initiated against the concerned department,” the NSF letter stated.
