Ensure timely completion of works, Kenye tells contractors
Dimapur, May 7 (MExN): Nagaland Rajya Sabha MP K G Kenye inspected the ongoing 2-Lane Inter State Connectivity (ISC) road project from Chizami to Lai village (Manipur) under MoRTH, PMGSY Road from Lanye to Loasami Junction and also Pfutsero to Phek 2-Lane Road project under SARDP NE Phase-II funded by the National Highway and Infrastructure Development Authority of India Ltd on May 7.
The MP while expressing his satisfaction on the progress of the works also urged the Principal Contractors to expedite the work so as to ensure that the projects are completed within the stipulated time without compromising the workmanship. He also cautioned the staff and workers of the Company to take all preventive measures in regard to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The MP undertook the inspection as per the directive of the Central Government to closely monitor the progress of all the Centrally Sponsored Road projects within their respective Parliamentary Constituency, a press release from the PRO to MP stated on Thursday.
Kenye was accompanied by the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) of both Pfütsero & Phek Division Division and a host of public leaders from Losami and Khomi villages.
The inspecting team had a briefing meeting at the base Camp of M/S Madhucom Projects Ltd at Khalutu Middle Khomi village.
