Dimapur, May 31 (MExN): The Naga Hoho has demanded that the GPRN/NSCN substantiate the group’s “chaplee kilonser” Kughalu Mulatonu’s claim of individuals or interest in the apex Naga tribal organization being involved in extortion.
The Naga Hoho welcomed the move of the so-stated “political groups for coming forward to cleanse itself” from extortions and unlawful activities. However, the ‘hoho’ said in a note today, the GPRN/NSCN leader must ‘substantiate’ so that the Naga Hoho can act on the groups or individuals misusing the name of the ‘hoho.’ The Naga Hoho said it is “greatly disturbed” that the good name of the Naga Hoho has ‘surfaced in the extortion racket list.’
The ‘hoho’ asks the NSCN/ GPRN “chaplee kilonser” Kughalu Mulatonu to “substantiate and give the office of the Naga Hoho the evidence if any of any such acts of extortion, so that the Naga Hoho office can act upon any individual or groups misusing the name of the Naga Hoho.”
The organization reiterated that the apex Naga frontal stands to represent the collective good of the Naga people and that the allegation is damaging to the core principles and ideologies of the organization. The ‘hoho’ appeals to the GPRN/NSCN “which is a mature organization” to “act responsibly and clarify the matter” in the larger interest of the Naga people at the earliest.
