Dimapur, July 10 (MExN): The Naga Hoho has reiterated its 2009 decision that the constituent tribal constituents shall now make recommendations to the state government over matters involving recognition of villages and tribes. This decision was taken during the second federal assembly of the Naga Hoho on September 2, 2009 at Hotel Japfu in Kohima. “The Naga Hoho is constrained to issue this communiqué owing to obvious reasons that henceforth, “the Naga Hoho and respective tribe hohos shall recommend to the state Government in matters pertaining to recognition of villages and tribes as and when it deems fit”. This Resolution was adopted during the 2nd federal assembly of the Naga Hoho held on September 2, 2009 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima,” the ‘hoho’ reiterated in a note today. The Naga Hoho appeals to the state government to treat the aspiration of the Naga Hoho as one of the criteria in future in matters relating to recognition of villages and tribes.”
