An extension of the Hornbill Festival, the Tati Group Enterprise has organised three days Naga indigenous event competitions on December 2, 3 and 4 at Phezou Resort, Tuophe-Phezou.
The competitions include snail eating, muzzle gun loading, shooting competition, indigenous bamboo stilt walking, traditional wooden cart and other traditional games.
Altogether 21 participants compete in snail eating to finish off 44 snails in two minutes and Dziesebeizo was declared as the winner.
With 15 participants in bamboo stilt walking, Ketholetuo Kense and Keneivinuo Seyie emerged as winners.
Beating 24 competitors, Kevi-o Zumu was declared as winner of the catapult competition, while Neisa Kense beating 18 competitors emerged as the winner of the muzzle gun loading.
Among 31 participants in the traditional wooden cart competition, Avile-o and Akhotuo Kense and Keletsinuo Kense and Kekhrietseinuo Zumu were declared as winners in the category of men and women respectively.
Meanwhile, organisers have informed that tourist visiting the village may try the Naga indigenous games.
