Naga Mothers urge for peace

Dimapur, July 5 (MExN): The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) expressed concerns over the “latest Naga political developments”, armed violence in ‘Inavi village’ and the bomb blast at Dimapur. The NMA met on July 5, a note from the organization informed today. “Mothers’ strongly feels that our society does not deserve this level of violence and expressed pain to observe violence leading to deaths. Mothers’ call upon every Naga conscience to refrain from such violence and place human lives and uphold dignity .No form of violence is justified,” the mothers stated. The NMA extends condolences to bereaved family members and injured innocent victims in the violence of July 30. The organization also appeals to the Naga “political groups” for commitment and understanding to resolve the Naga political issue and urged for peace to prevail in the Nagas’ land.
