Naga United Village celebrates 52nd foundation day

Dimapur, February 9 (MExN): The 52nd foundation day of the Naga United Village, Dimapur was celebrated on February 8. Prior to the celebration, a multipurpose facility of Naga United Village Council (NUVC), adjacent to the local football ground was inaugurated by Rev D P Dozo, President of UCTM, as the guest of honor.
A press release received here stated that the celebration was chaired by Ng Sheh, Secretary NUVC with opening prayer by Pastor Kuhusheyi Chotso of Naga United Village Baptist church and welcome by Medoyi Dozo, GB. A brief report of the village council hall was given by Kuthoku Shijoh, Chairman, NUVC.
Addressing the gathering, Rev Dr Dozo labeled Naga United Village as “conspicuously a small world and a mini-Nagaland having tribes from Nagaland and beyond, having a graphic progress of education, churches, development and civic maturity each time of its journey.” He highlighted that the village is becoming noticeable with educational establishments such as Great Commission Kids Academy, Government High School, Highland Hall School, Hope Academy, C-Edge College, School of Music and other mushrooming offshoots in the community.
Rev Dozo stressed that Naga United Village must continue to advance with a heightened goal on the orbit of colorless and colorful Unity as Christians, Generation focus with schools, good Model with tobacco free, liquor free, lazy free, division free, and dirt free, and Work ethics to be self sufficient.
Other highlights of the event were folk song by Veswuzo Phesao and friend, vote of thanks by Mase Vero, benediction by pastor Chingpam of Phom Baptist Church followed by lunch.
