Livi AI, according to NagaEd, is an easy-to-use digital teacher designed to help high school students with real-time support through WhatsApp.
Fully integrated with NCERT and local school curricula informs company
Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): NagaEd, a Nagaland-based digital education company, has unveiled Livi AI, designated as the North-East's first Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered teacher deployed on WhatsApp. This positions Northeast India at the forefront of education technology, stated a press release from the company.
This week, Livi AI will be introduced to partner schools, including Northfield School, EL-Shaddai Academy, Rev Dr Neiliezhü Usou Memorial School, and Eden Academy, marking a significant step in NagaEd’s mission to align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, it informed.
According to NagaEd, Livi AI delivers cutting-edge, curriculum-aligned education to students in both urban and remote areas, addressing the need for specialised science and mathematics instruction in a way that meets the highest educational standards.
By making advanced digital resources accessible on a widely used platform like WhatsApp, NagaEd ensures that students from even the most remote areas can receive the same high-quality education as those in top urban centres, it maintained.
"Livi AI marks a significant advancement in education technology, guaranteeing that every student, regardless of their location, can access a learning experience on par with the best institutions worldwide," said Kevisato Sanyu, Founder of NagaEd, in the release.
Fully integrated with NCERT and local school curricula, Livi AI supports NEP’s vision by offering real-time, personalised guidance on complex science and math topics, it said.
This interactive, user-friendly platform enables students to explore these subjects in depth, enhancing engagement and understanding in line with NEP’s focus on competency-based learning and critical thinking, it added.
Promises access to high quality education
It will also address the challenge of access to consistent, high-quality education in subjects such as Mathematics and Science, bridging this gap by providing not just lessons, but also interactive quizzes, performance tracking, and personalised feedback, all accessible through any basic smartphone, NagaEd maintained.
The introduction of Livi AI is not merely an advancement in education but a reflection of the broader global transformation wrought by artificial intelligence, it added.
Tools like Livi AI are crucial in preparing students from rural and remote regions for a future workforce that AI-driven solutions will increasingly dominate and by embedding AI into the learning process, NagaEd is ensuring these students develop essential digital literacy and problem-solving skills, positioning them to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market, it maintained.
The release further stated that NagaEd's innovative approach in digital education over thenyears has not gone unnoticed, and it was recognised as one of the Top 50 Tech-Enabled Startups by TiECon Silicon Valley, a global forum for entrepreneurial excellence.
Additionally, it received the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) award for Best Practice in Digital Transformation, solidifying its place as a leader in the use of technology to transform education, it highlighted.
NagaEd plans to expand Livi AI further, enhancing the capabilities of more schools and aligning with India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to drive digital literacy and inclusivity, it added.
