Following the report of the three viral videos of hunters flaunting their preyed animals, the Nagaland Wildlife Crime Control Bureau swung into action and has been on the trail of the people in the videos.
Giving the latest update on the investigation, Tokaho Kinimi, Wildlife Warden informed that two incidents have been traced to Nihoshe and Ghathashi, both under Zunheboto district. It was also informed that the process of booking those involved has been initiated.
Kinimi further informed that some of the accused had come forward voluntarily last evening and all accused are cooperating so far.
On being asked about the ‘hunting expedition’ video, he said the investigation is on to determine the location along with the accused party. Investigation for the viral videos is still on as per Wildlife Crime Protocol and Wildlife Crime Control Bureau, New Delhi is assisting in cyber tracing, he further informed.
