As the nation observes the 21-day lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus, Nagaland state has seen empty places and quiet streets as people have been instructed to stay indoors. India implemented a full-scale lockdown, but at a much earlier stage of the outbreak starting from March 25. The Centre on Thursday announced the first instalment of a fiscal relief package, worth Rs 170,000 crore, to protect the weaker sections of the society from the economic fallout of Covid-19.
